The Friends of Flushing School is a fundraising group set up primarily by parents of children at Flushing Church of England Primary School (and for any community members who wanted to be involved as well).
Our aim is to organise events and activities throughout the school year which will raise money to support projects and visits that the school wishes to undertake. Over the past year we have been involved in a variety of events including a beetle drive, a ceilidh, a frock swap, Sports Day BBQ, Christmas Fayre, mulled wine and mince pies at Christingle, Christmas disco and raffle. Through the money raised we have been able to pay for a coach to take the children to Paradise Park for a whole school trip, and the year 6 leaver’s trip to Flambards. We also contributed £400 towards curriculum items and have just donated £600 towards the installation of a traversing wall in the Junior playground.
We would like to invite all parents to come along to our meetings with their ideas and suggestions and to thank everyone for their continuing support of our events.
