It is the School’s policy to set homework.

We believe that homework should be fun, meaningful and shared with parents/carers. It should be based upon the topic theme the children are studying and be flexible to meet the needs of the children.

The school sets regular reading, spelling and times tables challenges and other projects as and when they arise

The co-operation of parents is requested in encouraging their child to expand their interests. It is helpful to encourage regular practice of skills taught during the term in order that the children become confident in their use. The children are encouraged to learn how to learn and to be able to think clearly in order to solve problems. They are encouraged to make a commitment to their learning and to give of their best in terms of effort and presentation.

The school will contact parents if their child is experiencing problems with completing homework on time.
